Well as our summer of hell comes to a close, there are a few things I have learned.
1) When the doctor says 8 weeks, he really means 12. (Really? You would think all the training it takes to be an orthopedic surgeon and he can't count? Maybe it's honesty he has issues with? Clearly I am bitter!) 2) After 30 it all falls off.( if I had been younger, I probably would have healed faster and would not be stuck with a limp for close to a year. Again, bitter) 3) 4 year olds think they are 18 year olds. (why didn't anyone tell me kids just think they can do whatever they want? Isn't there one honest parenting book out there? If not, then why am I not writing it?) 4) little girls are born with attitudes. (don't think that statement requires elaboration).
I think this list is moving in the wrong direction. The summer wasn't a total bust. It just seemed to go too fast and too slow at the same time. Our tiny princess turned 2 ( I did not forget to post pictures, but just haven't had the time to organize a post. It will be here soon.). She gave us a really bad scare for my birthday, but thankfully is back to her adorable self.
All in all, I don't want to repeat this summer and am ready to embrace the autumn.
