Champagne wishes and Caviar dreams

So my parents and sister were visiting this past weekend and it was wonderful! First, we haven't seen them in a while so it was nice to just have them here. Second, the kids were so excited. They were wild but it was really fun to see them being silly with each other. Third, ( but not last) I got a much needed break from everything. I even got some mommy pampering, a haircut, a new outfit for grownup events and finally went to the eye doctor so I could get my contacts back. Yeah!!! Art and I also got to go out and shop for the kids without the kids. We had dinner and drinks (that was margarita # 2) it was sooo nice to get out and not have to worry if the kids were okay or if we were taking to long....we miss you guys already!!!

Did I mention I got to have margaritas?

Fun at the park

Okay, it's November and it is getting chilly. Do you think we've given up going to the park? *-!$ NO! Not until there is snow on the ground will I even consider staying home. Here are the 'wild ones' with a few of our pals.

A last thought on the election

I wasn't going to post anything about the election, as the media has really gone above and beyond. I would like to say however, I'm thrilled to finally be able to tell my kids they can even be the president.....and mean it.

I know

Okay, I know it's been a REALLY long time since I've posted anything. And no, I did not lose my computer in the move (John). It seems no one (Tina) told me how busy you are when your kids go to school. I was under the naive idea, when you send your kids to school you get some free time. Man o man that is just not the case..... anyway, enough griping I'll just post the pictures of our life for the last two months. We celebrated the Girl's first birthday and the Boy's first day of school, we even have some preliminary Halloween pictures too. Hopefully I'll get to post more often now as I've completely given up all housework....but that's another post.

Birthdays and shopping carts

This is the gal with icing all over herself from her birthday. Another day I cried. It's hard to beleive she's a year old and no longer a baby. As you can see from the shopping cart pics, she's ready to be a big girl and chase after her brother. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

sibling love, school days and bathing beauty

Couldn't you just eat these two up. He's such a good big brother and she just loves him to death. He started school this September and man did that hurt...Mom. He loves school so much....I cry at night. LOL. Here's the gal in her suit ready for a swim for her birthday weekeknd with Grandma and Titi Rob. All these pics came from my phone so I'm not sure how to turn them quite yet. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Farms, Parks and Apple Pie

My kids love our local park. It's really their favorite place to go on a warm afternoon. The gal is following in her brother's footsteps and is just as goofy as ever. The boy has taken to baking and I've been teaching him about the family tradition of apple pie making. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Blue, Magenta and Autumn Fun

I made the kids costumes this year. There was just no way I was paying a zillion dollars for costumes to be worn for a few hours. While I was up late one night applying "spots" to Blue and Magenta it occured to me, I am just like my Mom. I was rearranging the spots for symetry and overall appearance. The other pictures are from a farm we took the kids to for apple and pumkin picking.
