Happy Birthday Thomas!!!!!

                                                         

I'm not sure how this happened. One minute I was looking into the eyes of this tiny, beautiful baby, totally dependent on us for everything. I blinked, and now I am looking at this totally different child. Still beautiful, but not tiny and frail. 

         Happy 4th Birthday to the sweetest boy in the world!!! We Love You Thomas!!!

                                                      

Happy Birthday Derek!!!!

On April 19, 2004 @ 11:19 am I gave birth to our first  child, Derek. He was the first grand child on both sides of the family and was very anticipated.  My water broke at 2 am and we left for the hospital shortly after. The night was clear and cool, we could see every star in the sky. We we so stunned thinking about our impending parenthood, we drove to the hospital in almost complete silence, just reflecting on our joy and excitement. It was truly a magical time.....I remember everything that happened from 2 am on as if it happened yesterday. Five years later, I'm glad those perfect memories are still so clear. Even though things did not turn out as we would have liked, we are so thankful for those nine months we had him with us.
